Declutter & Organise

Creating calm, one space at a time

With so much information out there about decluttering you’d think letting go of things would be easy.

There are countless methods, systems and rules. We see them on social media, in books and lifestyle shows.

But while these methods might work beautifully for some people, they’re not necessarily realistic for everyone.

Decluttering your space isn’t one-size-fits-all. Sometimes, letting go of something is much harder than looking at it and saying, “I don’t need this anymore.”

We all process information differently, we see value and attach meaning to things differently. What looks like an old piece of junk to someone else might be incredibly important to you because it reminds you of a person, a place, a time in your life or even a version of yourself. Our belongings can hold so much more than the physical space they take up.

Something we're ready to let go of today may once have been incredibly important. It may have been a lifeline during a difficult time, something we worked hard to afford, a reminder of someone we loved, a symbol of who we were, or even a promise we made to ourselves.

That’s why I don’t believe there is one magic method for decluttering. At the heart of the process, there needs to be empathy, compassion and respect. Decluttering doesn't have to mean rushing through your home with a rubbish bag, getting rid of everything that doesn't fit someone else's idea of an organised space.

It can be a slower process - a thoughtful process. A process where you get to decide what still matters to you, what you need, what you use and what you're ready to release, at your own pace.

And it can actually be fun!

Because once you start creating space, you also create possibilities. Maybe that spare room could finally become the craft room or retreat you've always talked about. Maybe those books you've been meaning to read can finally have a place in a reading nook you create. Maybe there's room for a hobby, a project, a quiet corner, or simply space to breathe.

Decluttering isn't just about what you're getting rid of. It's about making room for what comes next. And that can be the most exciting part.

You might be feeling...

  • Overwhelmed by where to begin.

  • Embarrassed to invite people into your home.

  • Constantly searching for lost items.

  • Frustrated that you've organised the same space countless times.

  • Exhausted by the amount of "stuff" surrounding you.

  • Unsure what to keep or let go of.

Whatever your situation, you'll find a judgement-free space here.

How I can help

Working together, we'll gently sort through your belongings, make decisions at your own pace, pause when we need to, and create practical systems that suit the way you live - not someone else's idea of the perfect home.

My approach is compassionate, practical, and completely free from judgement. We work together and focus on progress rather than perfection.

We can work on any space or area in your home. Whether it's one cupboard or your entire home, every session is tailored to your goals and comfort level.

Having an organised home isn't about creating a picture-perfect home, or throwing everything away. It's about creating spaces that support your everyday life and help you feel calmer, more in control, and able to enjoy your home again.
